The organizers of the sixth annual Scripps Renaissance Ball chose a novel way to honor longtime Scripps supporter Audrey Geisel: They named a star after her. Located in the sky’s Southern Hemisphere, the Audrey S. Geisel star was presented to its namesake during the black-tie gala, held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. The ball chaired by Karen Gabsch, raised $180,000 for Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital.
